Why I switched my upload schedule (and what changed)

Three months of weekly uploads vs. twice-monthly — the honest numbers.

For three months I tried to publish one edited video every week. The calendar looked beautifully consistent. The videos did not always feel that way.

Weekly was not really weekly

A short edit could fit the schedule, but anything more ambitious borrowed time from the next upload. By week six I was choosing ideas based on how quickly I could finish them, not how much I wanted to make them.

Moving to two videos a month changed three things:

  1. I can keep the strange little moments that make an edit feel like mine.
  2. Streams no longer become rushed recording sessions.
  3. I get an actual day between finishing one video and planning the next.

Views did not fall off a cliff. More importantly, the work stopped feeling like a conveyor belt. I still like a dependable schedule; I just want it to leave room for a good surprise.
